50 HOURS OF SPINNING FOR 50 SEATS OF WINNING

In support of It’s a Warnock Life, the 50 Hours of Spinning for 50 Seats of Winning campaign encouraged historically overlooked audiences to engage in voting. Culminating in an innovative, around-the-clock Twitch stream of R&B, afro beats, gospel, and more, we heightened community excitement leading up to and on Election Day. I collaborated with an incredible team of changemakers on a project that complemented, rather than cannibalised, existing grassroots civic engagement initiatives. I established the look and feel of 50 Hours of Spinning for 50 Seats of Winning and designed all creative assets, including a Twitch overlay customisable for each DJ participating in the livestream.

The campaign leveraged DJs and musical entertainers with significant fan bases to function as trusted messengers in the community. Garnering fervent support from V-103 radio, and top DJs including D-Nice, DJ Pharaoh, KidCutUp, and Grammy-nominated MC Lyte, our initiative to effectively reach Black voters and young people won a Reed Award in the category of Field: Best GOTV (Get Out The Vote) Campaign to Mobilize Diverse Communities.
